The Wi-Fi 6 standard meets the needs of networks with an ever-increasing number of wireless devices.
From smartphones and tablets to PCs, 4K TVs, speakers, and even smart lights: more and more devices
are being used simultaneously in Wi-Fi networks. Thanks to Wi-Fi 6 with two radio units, data rates of
up to 3000 Mbit/s (2400 Mbit/s at 5 GHz + 600 Mbit/s at 2.4 GHz) can be achieved. Wi-Fi 6 also ensures
a better distribution of the bandwidth available in the network. This means that even older smartphones
and notebooks benefit from the Mesh Wi-Fi Extender 1600's performance.

Perfect in the Mesh Wi-Fi
In the Mesh Wi-Fi, multiple distributed wireless access points (for instance, the FRITZ!Box and
FRITZ!Repeaters) are combined into a single intelligent Wi-Fi network. The distributed FRITZ! devices
communicate with each other to optimize the performance of all wireless devices. Intelligent
technologies such as crossband repeating, band steering, and an expanded auto-channel function
provide optimal Wi-Fi coverage at all times. This ensures that the best connection is always established
where it's needed. Streaming, gaming, and downloads take place seamlessly and at the fastest possible
speeds, even in the furthest corners of every room. Conveniently, the entire Wi-Fi network shares a
single name and password and is securely encrypted.

The latest encryption standards guarantee the security of your privacy throughout the entire Mesh Wi-Fi.
The LED in the housing shows the radio signal strength to help find the optimal position for the Mesh
Wi-Fi Extender 1600. The extender is simply inserted into a socket, connected at the push of a button,
and automatically added to the FRITZ! Mesh. An integrated gigabit LAN port is available for ultra-fast
connection to the NAS, for a LAN bridge, or for connecting a network device without Wi-Fi.
